If you follow me on Facebook, that you know I’ve set a goal to live more intentional and have started a zero waste journey, as such this also translates into really researching what I’m buying and trying to decide if it’s a want or a need. On the other end of the spectrum, I am very much so my mothers’ daughter and typically abhor falling into the trap of capitalism on set weekend holidays… and yet I have my beloved wishlists, where I literally want all the things.
Coupled with all these wonderful intentions, childhood morals, and my needs vs wants, I’ve clearly been grappling with how much consumerism to delve into during the winter holidays. So, I looked to some of my favorite woke personalities like Amanda Seale, Luvvie, and Jouelzy on how I can ‘comfortably’ consume and maintain a shred of woke decency…
Before we start, I want to encourage you to donate your time and money to some worthy organizations & causes that need our continued support, like the ACLU, supporting causes like the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe as they continue to work to defy Trump’s executive memo on the DAPL (#noDAPL #WaterisLife), Black Lives Matter, and finally — calling the FCC to declare your support for
#NetNeutrality, if you’re unfamiliar with the term, “if we lose Net Neutrality it bascially turns the internet into First Class and Coach, and only whoever can afford First Class gets access to information. Call the FCC. Now. Today. Call FCC chair Ajit Pai at (202) 418-1000 and say you support Net Neutrality”, learn more about net neutrality here, here, and here.
Now without further ado……….
