Welcome to my site, my name is Star Lengas and I am a Life Coach. I offer one-on-one sessions: together we find a solution and construct your happiness.
What is a Life Coach?
A Life Coach helps a Client examine current & past obstacles, and work to build a happier life. Life Coaching is an intimate open conversation about YOU. The Life Coach develops a purposeful relationship, that provides support to the Client. The focus of these conversations, are on self improvement to create positive actions for mental clarity. As well as, health & fitness accountability, lifestyle and travel explorations, and discovering your path to being (happy, confident, strong, authentic, etc). It is important to note that a Life Coach is not a counselor or therapist (if you feel that your mental health problems are stopping you from living your life, please speak with a licensed mental health professional).
How does Life Coaching work?
Life Coach Expectations:
I offer support and guidance throughout your journey. I am knowledgeable about resources and keep appointments. I encourage self-improvement by assisting the Client to set realistic goals and develop life management skills. I monitor/keep record of your progress, and finally respect the Clients confidential information.
I will hold YOU accountable, this is a partnership and your life to build. You will have “homework assignments” — after or between sessions. I may assign journaling or create action plans to help you accomplish your goals. Monitor and keep record of your progress. Have an open mind and keep appointments.
We may work together for a few months or longer. The time frame depends on what you wish to accomplish. The cost of coaching can vary. I have coaching packages and individual sessions are based on income scale*.

As a Life Coach
I use the solution focused approach: where we stop discussing the problem and create simple steps to achieve a solution. What do want to achieve and how can you achieve it. Through collaborative approaches to facilitate solutions, I provide coaching in stress management, career counseling, and developing a life/work balance.
I received my M.S. in Academic Advising from Kansas State University. I work with international and multicultural college students (ages 18-45), military spouses, military service members, and veterans.
